Hi,
I'd like to install a GPS app in my rooted Samsund Galaxy S Duos that will accurately map my position while flying without requiring permanent internet connection. It should work in Europe (particularly in Portugal).
Can anyone help me with suggestions of such an app?

The only application I am aware of is AVARE. The application is free and has no adds. The team is very active lately with many updates/improvements. The problem is that the developers want to keep the application free so it relies on free aeronautic maps, airport charts, etc. To date, the developers have found free maps/data for USA and a few maps for Canada. If you can find a source for free maps/data for your country, the developers will incorporate it to the software.
