Can someone please explain me the difference between map of North America (1,5Gb) and USA and Canada (1Gb) ?

Avoid the 2nd one! less detail and POI

Use the larger one. Besides the POI, the major difference is routing. Appearantly the NA map has more detail, in particular proper weighing between major and minor roads so the actual routing is making sense. For example, the smaller one routes zig zag within my neighborhood with more than 3 or 4 left right turns instead of just going straight with a larger road and turning to the main street.

Both 'North America' and 'USA and Canada' cover the same area.

Hi there. How do we load these maps on the card of the tomtom one v2 device? Ive tried to change names and stuff but nothing works to make the device to recognize the maps.. WHat am i doing wrong? please help, this is a bit urgent.

do we need to do something special? its iberia map in fact.

or these maps only work in ppc/pda?

there should be a folder called Iberia at the top level of your device.
The map files cline.dat etc should be in it.
The firmware needs to be rev6 to recognize rev6 maps
Don't try rev7 maps unless you're an expert.

how do i update the firmware? there are no risks right?

These are old MAPS !! We have a way behind our house for over a year now... On my previous TomTom it was on it... With this one not... SO no creditz from me !!
