Hi disk4mat. Sure happy to see you checked in. I don't understand how to use the url in the app. I checked the settings and can find no way to change the url used by the app. I press search or latest updates and have no url options available. Also do not know how to change the url in a shortcut an app uses on this tablet.

I was able to get to the forum by selecting a 4-dot address from mobilism's face book.

If its just a matter of waiting I can do that but I would like an approximate amount of time to wait to preclude daily checks.

Not sure I was clear earlier. Using the app I can do nothing that requires access via a dns. The link you gave is solely for downloading. I cannot download because I cannot search anything to download.

I got an email informing me there was a response on the forum. It also did not work. My guess its you are absolutely correct. The dns is hosed and has been for over a week.

I could overcome this on a PC but don't have a clue how to handle it on an android tablet.

Please don't tell me to forget about mobilism market. Its the sweetest I've found since white bread.

DrDan: you need to edit your hosts file on and make an entry with the mobilism.org IP and domain. For example this topic explains how to do it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=514698 though its possible the location of the host file is different for your device.

Yes, I had some issues getting to mobilism via app and browser on my tablet, then found my ISP was blocking me, argh. Uset SetDNS to set my DNS to googles dns then it all worked fine.

Thanks much for the tip. Its seems both new and unique. I'd like to give it a go. Only problem is the phrase "UsetDNS to set my DNS to goggles dns"is so foreign to me it seems bazaar.

Please clarify and I'm eager to give it a go.

Are you sure your ISP blocks Mobilism? That would be unprecedented in our case and seems very unlikely.

Thanks a million fancellu. I found SetDNS in the android market. Installed and ran it. Did not know the IP numbers to input so I simply used the defaults. It worked perfectly.

This was so very helpful that I think (request) it be made a sticky.

I don't think it's possible. If not, everyone will be yelling for a free account by faking their country.

Sometimes when using the app, I have a "Unfortunately, Mobilism Market has stopped" when clicking on certains download links such as rapid*gator. Screen fades to black, error pops up, goew back to Mobilism app, but if I try to re-download, it works ...

Other than that , great app working well on my Onda VI40 tablet ! Reply for a free premium account is fast and although I was disapointed that only few host are supported (as many files on ul*.to got deleted) it's still a great app and i'll make sure to take a premium account asap !
