Receiving donations from the Friends of the Campbell Library, the East Grand Forks Campbell Library plans to boost its eBook collection.

Part of the donations will be used to purchase best sellers and new releases throughout the rest of the year.

“We plan on checking the best seller list regularly and buying new books,” said Charlotte Helgeson, director of the library. “We’re going to see how far we can stretch these funds.”

The other portion of the donation will be used to complement the library’s digital collection.

Any member of the library can check out eBooks by logging on to the library’s website on his or her computer, tablet or mobile device. 0The eBooks can be checked out for seven, 14 or 20 days. After the selected time frame, the book will disappear from the user’s library.

“There’s never overdue fees,” Helgeson said.

The library will hold “Getting to Know Your eReader” classes from 3 to 4:30 p.m. July 9, 16 and 23. The classes are free and open to the public, but require registration. Register for the classes by calling (218) 773-9121.
