The eBook developer will support the Digital Content Development team by preparing eBooks for sale for Simon & Schuster’s client publishing ebooks. Responsibilities will include: liasing with clients, sending source files--PDFs, InDesign, Quark, and physical book scans--to conversion house for translation to eBook formats; reviewing eBooks created by conversion house for content consistency, design, validity, and cross-platform functionality; making corrections to eBooks; creating eBooks in-house from raw assets; coordinating proofreading; and archiving finished eBooks. The eBook developer will work closely with the client and internal ebook and design teams.
