Not much has changed between this week’s ebook best-seller list and last’s, with few titles making any big leaps or taking any deep spills.
Laura Hillenbrand’s Unbroken heads into its second week at No. 1 as the Angelina Jolie-directed film adaptation tops $102 million at the box office.
Earlier this week Publishers Lunch reported Simon & Schuster and Macmillan have both begun exercising the recently regained right to set their own prices on ebooks sold through Amazon. Since this week’s roundup encompasses the week ending on the 10th, it might not reflect that return to agency ebook pricing.
At all events, there’s only one title by either of those publishers within the week’s top 25, Anthony Doerr’s Simon & Schuster-published book All the Light We Cannot See.
The average price of a best-selling ebook nevertheless took an upturn this week, from $4.36 to $5.52.
