Hi there friends, i read a book sometime ago, but i cant remember the name of it, it was about a dragon tamer of the sorts, he gets an armor made of the scales of his dragon, his dragon is an anomaly, its golden and smaller, and he is a made king when it is confirmed that he is the lost heir of a noble house, and royal heir of a kingom beyond the mountains, the dragons eat some mineral that he found to fuel their fire, and he has a ring with the emblem of his family.

ring any bells? anyone?

thanks anyway.

It sounds very similar to one of Anne McCaffrey's books from her Pern series--The White Dragon. The boy is the heir to a noble family. His dragon is an anomaly, very much smaller and white. The dragons of Pern eat a rock to fuel their fiery breath. They also sort of teleport by going "between", a very cold dark sort of place where they fly towards wherever they want to go, then come out in the real world. It may be what you're looking for, if not, it sounds like the author based his book on McCaffrey's book.

mmmm, no, yes the dragon is smaller than the rest, but it eats some rock so that it can breath fire, and that was one of the lost mysteries, he ends up being the heir to his current kingdom and is the long lost king of a abandoned kingdom
