Trying to remember a book I read years ago, its a military sf book about an army training on a world. The book title is something like the white legion, or the White Brigade.

The normal armies are from a special series of planets, and are black, but this army is from a normal world, and as they are white, they have been named the white brigade (or army).

Not much to go on, sorry, but its been a long time and the memory is faint

It sounds a bit like "The White Regiment" by John Dalmas
