Its a contemprary erotica? I was recommended the book on another forum and I remember it being under the adult section (Although the book wasnt any different than hot scenes in general harlequin)
Its themed around a masquerade ball.
h is a librarian or scientist, and she's been tasked to organize a hotel's library (??? not sure- but its a setting that brings the H and h closer)
H is hotel owners son/grandson.
they meet at the mask ball, because h has a particular colored ribbon it means she wants to do some type of bedroom activity and H is the chosen one. (Concept is the girl has a particular colored ribbon that communicates that she is interest in certain activities. the h has blue which means kink with 1 guy, and the H approaches her. h's friend has red meaning menage a trois)
its anonymous, and H is desperate to find the masked h. H gave his number to h.
Meanwhile, H and h in library setting are getting closer and friendly, but H is still searching for masquerade h. the h figures out who masquerade H is.
1 scene i remember is that the H has a nasty ex, who calls h with the rest of H friends (they all are good, except the ex) for lunch
and while the h goes for a bite of dessert, the ex takes a dig at h's figure, h considers a bit, but still eats her dessert.
and because the ex is not aware of literature quotes, she throws some lines to sound intelligent, but h correctly quotes the lines and the author, while the rest of them are very impressed.
Another scene I remember is the h gets drunk and calls H (i think she just figured out who masqaurade H is) and talks dirty.
And i think the town is some quite place, where ppl come for holidays, its not an ubran setting, but neither too homey...
