Hello!
So the book is about this young noble who, at a party, is offered the love (heart) of a young fae and spurns him. The fae curses him to look as ugly as he is (or something), and the whole place burns to ashes. Noble wakes up and is hideous. Is joined by another man who was also cursed, who teaches him life and they live together in a little house. He takes up reading and writing. Eventually, a merchant gets lost and tries to steal some flowers for his beautiful son. His son is a healer (and also the fae that cursed the noble in the first place) and typical beauty and the beast ending. Cursed friend dies because that's what it took to break his curse and the Beast is alone. Healer comes around, doesn't recognize him, and eventually learns who he is/was. Beast is restored to his former beauty and everything ends well.
