Hi!

I can't remember the title of this book I read a few years ago. It's a historical (Regency or Victorian) romance where the heroine hires a male prostitute from an élite brothel, where the madam (the owner) has a famed reputation for finding her clients their right match. The heroine might be a virgin (I'm not sure about that) and she hires a man for her birthday (might be her 30th).

The madam doesn't send her one of the boys from the brothel, but a gentleman acquaintance of hers, who is told only to go to this young lady's house on the appointed day and time (he doesn't know the lady expects a seduction).

The gentleman goes to the young lady's house but she has changed her mind in the meantime and they spend the night just talking and kissing.

I remember the plot so well, but can't recall the title! Can anyone help?

I think you might be looking for "Suddenly You" by Lisa Kleypas.

That's it, cardav! Thank you! I've been virtually leafing through most of my ebooks but, for some reason, I'd never have looked for it in the Kleypas folder :)
