Hi, long time ago I've read this book, I can't remember it's name, only parts of the plot. Google didn't find anything so I'm trying here.

There is a heroine with, I think, two small brothers. The brothers are halflings or something like that. I think they had some problems with magic. They live in a small town near the border between the normal world and world of fae/faeries (I'm not sure). One day an unknown man comes to the town. He has to beat some evil thing that lives in the woods. He lives with them for some time and helps them. The man and the heroine fall in love. They kill the evil thing. Then she founds out that he is some fae/faerie/elven prince or king and he takes them with him to his home to the other world.

Please please help me find this book.

Sounds very similar to Ilona Andrews' On the Edge.
