I had a used paperback in the mid 70s that was written in a non-fiction style describing life on all the planets in this solar system. It was not sci fi or fantasy, but presented as a factual account. Bought it second hand in the mid 70s so I'm guessing it was published in the 50s, 60s, or early 70s. Does anyone know this book, and what the title is?

Could it possibly be the Perelandra series by C.S. Lewis? Although that IS more of a sci-fantasy style of writing, if I recall correctly - it's probably been 30 years since I read it.

I would try the librarian at your local library. They are amazing at finding books and information. Good luck :-)
