it is not an ebook request but rather a request for help in identifying that particular book. It is a fantasy book and is about a knight (tall, scarred and considered dumb/slow although he is quiet smart) that is revealed as the next king of his land, thanks to the fact that he managed do decipher a certain number of (sacred?) words from a stone located in a cave, and traditions says that whoever manages to decipher those words becomes the new king. The problem is that he does not want to be king and wishes to pass the title to a friend of his whom he believes is more able.

I really enjoyed it,so please if anyone remembers its title, please tell me; and since i am desperate, i am adding a second email address- (removed)so you can contact me, and apologize in advance if i have broken any rules of this forum.

Thanks in advance

That description is a classic Arthurian storyline.
Have a look through this list

A little more information please. How long ago did you read it? Was the book newly published when you read it?
Was it set in a specific country/world/universe? :D

This reminds me of the books Dragon Bones and Dragon Blood. They are the Hurog series by Patricia Briggs. Ward of Hurog, our protagonist, pretends to be simpleminded so that his father doesn't have him killed. His father dies and he has to prove that he is competent enough to rule his land. There is a cave under his keep that has Dragon Bones and a ghost. The second book is Ward fighting to save his brother and make his brother ruler. Has something to do with a dragon and a ring that gives power to the rightful king or some such. These books sound similar to your synopsis. I hope this helps!

I just read The Kinshield Legacy by K.C. May and I think maybe that could the book you're thinking of.

"When the mage-king of Thendylath and his queen are slain by a demon, and the only written account of their demise is burned in a fire, the kingdom falls into chaos. For two hundred years, the truth of King Arek's death is locked within the impenetrable palace. All that remains of the king's powerful magic is a tablet embedded with gems and protected by mysterious runes. But then, the gems in the tablet, one by one, disappear.

Warrant knight Gavin Kinshield is a man of many secrets. He's the one deciphering the runes in the tablet. Unless he can find a suitable replacement, he'll be Thendylath's next king. All he really wants is the letter written by his ancestor Ronor Kinshield, champion to King Arek... a letter he must earn by tracking down a common thief.

But when Gavin saves a woman's life, what should have been a simple task draws him face-to-face with his nightmarish past... and the truth of King Arek's demise."
