Book is similar in style to Kaitlyn O'Connor and Evangeline Anderson, but it's not either of these authors. All I remember is the beginning of the book. The story takes place entirely on the alien world. There's a human team exploring an alien world, first contact. The aliens are 7-8 feet tall and very primitive. They live in huts and wear either loincloths or nothing. They can't understand each other. A human female goes to talk to one of the aliens and he just suddenly stabs her. The main female character, possibly an anthopologist, decides the killing had to do with the female wearing clothes. So, she takes her clothes off and goes to talk to the head alien in his garden. She kneels in front of him. He claims her for his mate and won't let her go back to her people. Very steamy. That's all I remember. If anyone can help, I'd be eternally grateful.
I think this story is part of an anthology with the previous story being a BDSM one.

The heroine's name could be something like Elise, Alice, Alicia. Not sure though. I think the story is part of an anthology, because, I remember thinking the previous story was BDSM and not liking it.

Don't think I know of that one, I tend to steer clear of books where the aliens are described at 7'+ tall, i mean comeon lol, 6'+ is enough. Not saying it's bad just not quite my thing. The ones I can think of that are close to that would be: Eternal Bond, Planet Mail, Barbarians of Malka, Divinity Warriors. Those are all series that are along those lines, all erotica romance. I know someone suggested Goodreads and I will too, they have most listed with categories for alien romance, I would start there. When you do find it let us know.

I think I know the title of the book you're looking for (I hope). The book's title is Spider Bight by Tymber Dalton. It's the third book in her Deep Space Mission series. The main heroine's name Emilia Hypatia and she's a doctor. On this particular book, they went to another planet and encountered some problems there. The series is BDSM of sort with no dungeons, dom/sub etc but they have the same dynamic as most BDSM books. Is that the one you're looking for?

I doubt it's Tymber Dalton...there is no male taking female as mate in Spider Bight. Nor is she an anthropologist. And there are no other female crew on her ship.
