Hi!
I'm looking for a historical Regency romance novel. I remember a scene in particular, which was at the beginning of the book. The hero is riding home after years away when he falls from his horse at the sudden appearance of a woman. The woman recognises him as her childhood friend whom she's been in love with since they were teens (unbeknownst to him, of course). He takes a moment, but also recognises her and exclaims: "Charlie!", which is the nickname he used for her (she should be a Charlotte, I think).
Does this scene sound familiar? I hope you can help!
