I'm looking for a Superhero series that I read a while ago.

Girl gets kidnapped and gets poweers by some experiment done to her, she gets some kind of Mind powers. She is told tat she is lucky because others have died in the experiments, she escaps, other people with powers are send after her, she manage to convince them to work with her to stop the carzy guy that did this to them

She accidentally puts a detective in a coma while she was kissing him.

She describes herself as a Daria look alike. And yes in the covers she looks like and adult Daria.
