there were several books, it was about mercenaries in a sword/sorcery type world. It was probably published in the 70's, maybe by Tor, I'm not sure. I'd love to track these down whether in hard copy or e book format, it was a good series.


EDIT: Never mind, i actually found it with active links on here. I haven't been able to find it anywhere else, keep getting told it's out of print. I think it just jumped the cue of next to be read!
