At some point in the book(the beginning I think) the heroine who is a heroin addict is on her way to meet her dealer when she comes across a couple of vamps fighting. She being jaded and apathetic (she knows they're vamps) she tells them to knock it off. The vamps are surprised shes noticed them and from her demeanor and lack of surprise at their vampireness they assume she belongs to someone(a vamp). Well, she doesn't and humans aren't supposed to know.

In comes this master vampire who tracks her down, something about her is special(I forget what) and hes reluctant to kill her. So shes given a choice die or something else, I don't remember if the something else is becoming a vamp or becoming the master vampire's something(I forget). Suffice it to say she chooses the option that involves her living. However, that option involves meeting the vamp's father(sire?) and she has to detox quickly for the meeting. This is helped along by the master vamp's brother(friend?) Vlad aka dracula. He knows the recipe for a potion that his warriors took to detox from opium use. She spends a couple days by the toilet puking while the master vamp comforts her.

She gets clean, and goes to meet with the father(sire?) the house they go to is under illusion and when they pass a barrier it looks like a castle. There are dragons guarding it.

That's all I can remember.

No, it's a different book.

In the book I'm looking for the mc gets clean and stops taking drugs all together.

I stopped reading the stacia kane books because the character keeps making the same damned mistakes and stupid decisions again and again. I read the book I'm looking for after I stopped reading the SK books. I know this because I compared the 2 in my head.

Okay I didn't read that series but your "blurp" interested me, so I set out to find the book.
Could it be this one:

Eternal Seduction (Darkness Within #1)

After living on the streets of New York for over a decade, Logan admits her perceptions might be a little skewed. But twisted or not, there's a satisfying irony in watching a well dressed vampire stand in the middle of a ghetto alley, windblown trash scraping circles near his feet. What she finds even more intriguing, is waiting for him to decide if he's going to kill her.
Kerestyan hasn't made up his mind. As the Lord of New York, he can't let a drug addict, whose memories are packed with knowledge of vampires, run free in his city. It's not the first time he's been in this situation with a human, it's just the first time he's come face to face with one who doesn't seem to care. And that's what makes the decision so difficult.
What horrors could you witness before you went numb? How long would it take before you felt that way? What could make you care again?
Logan's answers are simple: the worst humanity has to offer, almost thirty, and something she never expected.
