If I'm not mistaken, it appears that Riu is only modding beta versions. Fortunately, most of the Spotify betas are usually fairly stable. Doesn't seem like he's completely figured out how to eliminate ads for everyone (at least without using AdAway,) but hopefully he will in the future.

Yes it has the toast notification.

I removed the notification using the xposed module UnToaster. (xposed framework needs root)

I think you might need a rooted phone to get rid of the ads.
When I where using a custom room (with root) I did not get any ads but when I switch back to stock firmware and without root I now get ads.
