thanks for these releases,

since my phone last did an ota update its added more bloatware including spotify, so these no longer install as it conflicts with the built in version, it wont install over the factory version, or if its disabled either.

i dont really want to root the phone yet as its still under guarantee, and i have apps that pick up the root and wont run.

is it possible for you to rename something your end so it can install?

thanks

Rooting your phone doesn't void the warranty in Europe. What you're asking for is impossible.

Are you sure? Since when rooting doesn't void warranty?

Since forever.

Thanks a lot, very informative, So I could even try installing a custom recovery but was afraid to brick it lol, do you think the seller can prove that the phone is bricked due to a failure in Custom recovery installation or a failure while trying to unlock bootloader?

Got the same problem as you. Can't believe Sony included bloatware in nougat upgrade. I just can't install the releases on here. What a stupid move to start introducing bloatware from Sony. Marshmallow was almost clean as a whistle an now all of a sudden bloatware. No wonder people will not choose Sony as their smartphone.

Don't want to root it either cuz it's a hassle and some apps won't work when it's rooted. What a bummer. Bye, bye Sony.

The benefits of rooting far outweigh any potential issues from keeping it stock but I do understand your trepidation due to possible risks involved.

One of many good things about root is that you can eliminate most issues dealing with bloat. But the possibilities are truly endless.

Personally I'm not a Sony fan as they try to keep a lot of their stuff proprietary like that fruit company. So it's probably a good move on your part to switch brands. :)
