From music players to sound recording

I've a Balatan version from a couple of weeks back and it's running fine at the moment (used his spoti releases for over a year now- not sure if it's MrDude doing the modding?) so would only update again to Extreme back. I had read on here that Spotify changed the server side streaming to 128kbps to all none prem accounts, whereby they check the premium status of your account, if it fails as not being premium, the stream drops to 128kbps and the mod makes no difference to that (the extreme setting is just cosmetic). I can certainly vouch this has been the case, as at some point since before summer, spotify has been sounding like clipped/internet radio quality even with extreme enabled, whereas for a long time extreme gave you near cd quality. Has this mod therefore bypassed their serverside change and it's now back to true extreme sound quality again?
Thanks for your efforts.

* also don't understand what The_Killer is referring to. The checksums verify as it being the same apk. The filename only differs in that the open and closed parenthesis are displayed as their Html code on the second check - the name is otherwise identical?

As for the EXTREME AUDIO thing, you can go through the thread here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73029087&postcount=70

And most important of all, why can't you download try and listen for yourself.
No disrespect , but if you can't hear the difference, then maybe it should not be your concern whether it's real or cosmetic.
It's strange, if not sad, that people can't trust his own ears, but has to rely on comments from others....

Hi.. The last time I checked you only need VPN to login.. After that Spotify works without VPN.

You are right.

Said again and again and again.
Download is a server-side feature, no Spotify mod can download it.
If you want to download, use a separate Spotify Downloader here:
https://forum.mobilism.org/viewtopic.php?f=1332&t=2308721&hilit=spotify
but bear in mind, you can only download low quality 128 kbp/s mp3.

Don't think you read the full comment bro!! I'm asking for a different mirror link for the Spotify all itself.. Given links aren't working for me, so requested someone to upload on Zippyshare or Mediafire

This one lets you listen to mp3 in R-E--L EXTREME quality of 320kps, instead of the crappy 192kps.
How's that for excitement?
But then, this wouldn't matter for someone who can't tell the difference. LOL

It would work but only for few days. Don't be surprised after few days, you run the app and it would take you straight to the login page again. Just use the VPN again until the next time you are logged out.

Is there any chance the modifications applied to this apk could also be applied to the android tv version of Spotify? I have an android tv box connected to my home audio system and use my tablet as a remote. Works beautifully but obviously at the reduced bit rate.

Cheers

I have a habit of connecting to a VPN to the country I created it in (US)

I connect to a vpn every 10 days..

Spotify lets you use it for 14 days after which you're logged out
