It is working completely fine for me. Clear app data once, if it still crashes, try the playstore version and report if it works.

Deleted the cache > no solution
Installed free version from apkmirror > no solution
So I believe it is a bug.

Maybe it is a device specific bug as I am not experiencing it. It is beta build so we should expect some bugs. Report the bug to the developers and hopefully they'll fix it in the next version.
