Got it to work on my phone. Downloaded the Spotify_premium apk also known as version 5.9.0.732 BETA apk. Opened the app and signed up with new email and that was it.

When I hava AdAway active with this spotify.txt list included I only get an error message after starting the official free spotify app from play store

(After deactivating AdAway and phone restart the start of spotify is no problem. So it looks they check at start if the ad server(s) are reachable? Hmmm)
