The chances are Spotify have also killed the iPhone app as well.
I no longer have a iPhone but I still have the modded Spotify app for iPhone/ipad I used. Version 8.4.18
If you want to try it I'll pm you a link.

This version works with banned account but you need to have xposed. All you have to do is
1) Uninstall whatever spotify you have
2) Install and activate xprivacylua form xposed downloads section
3) Reboot
4) Install modded spotify from here
5) On xprivacylua check spotify to disable everything (Edit: you can just check "use tracking")
6) Login with banned account and you are done

When youre Device is rooted then you must have this installed:
1. Xposed
2. xPrivacyLUA
3. This Mod
Mark in xPrivacyLUA all Checks for Spotify, start Spotify and log in.

Yeah... I'd rather have working SafetyNet apps than Xposed on anything. Oh well, back to paying for Google Play Music. At least I can get ad-free YouTube without having to install yet another app.

It worked with a vpn but as soon as I disabled it, Spotify instantly logged out... And when I try to re-login, it says that my credentials don`t match... How horrible... I also tried resetting password but nothing worked...
