Works for me too. Had to enable DNS and https on the app itself, but no ads and skipping seems to work. Same original login.

Go into Adguard
Menu > DNS
Enable
Then go to app management
Search for Spotify
Click on it and scroll down until you find https filtering
Check it. You should be good to go.

Does it require the phone to be rooted?

There is a fix but I'm not sure when it will be published, for now stick with Riu release.
For me I must say Thank You so much Spotify for taking down the old Mod, that made me dig faster and learn a new sh**t

Not for me. Adguard is set up as you wrote, installed the playstore version, still cant skip, just play shuffled.
Non-rooted s7 edge.

ok about the quality I've found that using Ironfist47's version :
- Normal : ~80kbps
- High/Extreme : ~150kbps

Not sure why High and Extreme are the same ? Also it's probably AAC and not MP3 as these bitrates are really low.

How you checked the bitrates?

Pretty painful process !
1. Used the Memu Play emulator
2. Launched NetLimiter and looked at the total data used when played consecutive tracks.
It turns out the app preloads the next track so by substracting and using the track time you can figure out the bitrate.
