Older releases, like 2.6 or below have files in android/data that you can edit for no ads and 320kbps. It is much easier and I don't really see much of a difference in the function of the app when compared to the latest mod versions or even the features of the regular Spotify app.

Master.

It takes too much time modding/testing and I have about a million other things to do in my life. The next release with be unpacked by someone and all the mods traced I think, that's what happens with every apk - then someone else releases, also I shared all my patch findings with Balatan, so he can release - also he knows how to trace the assembly code now and can understand the java/byte code.

Also I wrote a windows crack to mod Arm + x86 binaries, to trace and patch ads, so I might release that when I'm done.

Finally I got around to finding the patch for stranger things and behind the lyrics.

So far - Fixed:

Voice Searching.
Car mode - with voice search.
Stranger things.
Behind the lyrics.
Playlist mode.

Removed - tablet mod as it breaks behind the lyrics, stranger things - these are not tablet features.

Just 1 more patch to go - then some testing, and a final release from me :-)

Hopefully the final patch is for random force closing. Running unrooted s8+ with oreo. No adblocking etc. for Spotify enabled. Still force closes now and then. Not a biggest deal but anyway...

Lets just say that this has been totally re-patched, and NONE of the older patches are in this one.

No worries, I'm just trying to trace the last place to patch for those stupid popup ads now. TBH i'm pretty happy with 99% of the stuff now - just a couple of little tweaks to go. Also I know why the app was crashing, I can't really say though on a public forum as that would give some info on what I patched, but the patch that was causing it has been removed and replaced with a new one, and I've not had any crashing since.

There's a lot of 'under the hood' stuff patched now - most people won't notice what, some observant people will though :-), or people that take the time to reverse this properly once it's released.

I'm kind of waiting for the next release to not be a beta version - then I'll most likely post 2 or 3 versions.

1st version - Normal Spotify what you're used to (with new patches).
2nd version - Playlist mode Spotify (with new patches).
3rd version Maybe a modded interface version......wait an see :-)

Hey Mr. Dude, is it possible for you to prevent spotify from cache'ing songs? Spotify app usually gets over 1GB if you listen to the songs a lot. (I know that we are not getting offline mode but I wanted to address this) Spotify is a data storage hog.
