An older and more stable build with more features is clearly the better option. Don't know what all of you want with newer versions with less inside..
Some people..
EXACTLY - version 8.4.43.632 is by far the best version, No FC, everything works, and I've repatched it already to add voice searching/car voice search/behind the lyrics/stranger things mode/loudness levels/old account logins & all other patches (apart from downloading).
I could release today, but I'm waiting for a while to see what new stuff (if any) Spotify adds to their next release.
FYI, all these new builds of Spotify are pretty rubbish - all they are doing is removing features for free users and changing the code to add more patch checks, so because a version is newer - doesn't mean it's better, and clearly in Spotifys case new versions suck compared to older versions.
Balatan & Mrdude, thank you for this. I sincerely appreciate your work.
note: I'd love to use 8.4.43.632 but evertime I try to log in, it bounces back to the log on screen. 8.4.55.521 logs in right away. Am I doing something wrong with 8.4.43.632? I've tried uninstalling cleaning then rebooting my pixel but I still cannot log in.
For the record, I'm still using 8.4.43.632 with no issues. Out of curiosity, have you tried cloning your account and using the new login with this version? I assume you've already done the traditional troubleshooting involving a data wipe, uninstall, file manager hunt & destroy for leftover Spotify files, reboot, wipe cache & dalvik, reboot, reinstall and try the new acct credentials?
