There's no such thing as 'offline streaming' how on earth can you stream if you're offline, you can't! you need to download the music first, then go offline. The music that's stored on your device and can be played back is because it actually exists as data, if you're offline and haven't already downloaded the music - how on earth do you expect to play back non existent data?
I'm not trying to be funny, but if you read back on some of these threads you'll see the level of intelligence some of the people that write on here have posted, it's hard to work out if people are actually just trolling, or are computer illiterate, or just of low intelligence....
'Offline streaming is kind of clunky' - what is that supposed to mean to anyone apart from you? It doesn't describe what device you have, what Android version you have, why you think it's 'clunky' (whatever you mean by that).

What I meant was even if I downloaded the music it still gave me disconnection errors while trying to listen to the music offline. Don't have to be THAT worked up jeez... How could you assume that I was trolling when I legitimately got problems with a function that was not intended to happen.
EDIT: I do admit that I was using the wrong terminology because I couldn't think of the correct one that moment, the word I meant was 'offline playback'.

@mrdude
I think I find out why people having problem with offline playback, smart cache is working but unlike previous version doesn't show which songs are playable offline. All are grey except ones which downloaded manually by toggle switch.
I'm not sure this bug related to mod, most likely is Deezer bug.

interesting, i got the same issue too sometimes. and no, giving permission to access storage(also that microphone) didn't solve the problem. i even increasing the cache and of course i download the songs before goes offline mode (that green dot indicator that tell u already download the songs).
the funny thing is that sometimes the error pop out while music/song playing in the background.

+1The error that you describe with the last two published versions appears to me and I have found it impossible to correct it, I have tried anyway, it surely appears in some versions of Android, more than in others, I have MM 6.0.1MrKaon wrote:@mrdude

In case it helps to identify what causes this for some people, I was having the same issues on Android 7.1.1. with this latest release and the previous one.
I also noticed that Deezer tried to stream HQ versions of songs that I already downloaded in HiFi quality. Except when I turned on airplane mode, then it reliably played the already downloaded HiFi version.
Anyway, I went back to 6.1.13.71 which is working absolutely perfect.
Thank you mrdude

Yes, this was the error. I've tried switching storage locations + allowing storage permissions as well but the error still persists even when the music is still playing in the background. As of now, I've rolled back to version 6.1.13.71 and it worked fine, so I'll just stick with this version instead.

if I try to close it with android windows management, continues to sound, and from the quick toggle menu there is no "x" to close the player...
Thanks.
In Deezer press back until you come out of it, then slide notification player to dismiss it.

I've noticed this error, but an easy way to fix it is to just tap on the song again and it will play.

Can I just ask what version is best for downloading and listening offline. Thanks for anyone who would answer. Thanks Balatan and mrdude for the upload.
