Can't thank you enough for this app MrDude and Balatan, this app really changed my life literally, and I don't think I'd have found the music i did and now enjoy without this wonderful mod of yours. Please ignore the idiots and keep on doing the good word that you do, because people like me really appreciate the selfless work that you do.

No worries, also I found what was causing login issues - with people using new accounts that couldn't login (password incorrect error) with the mod, but pass and email worked OK on the website or play store version of the apk. This will be fixed on the next release. It was a weird error to find - as the modded apk worked fine on older accounts, I needed to make about 5 new Spotify accounts to find that bug in the mod....pain in the arse.

Next mod release will have 2 versions:

V1 - for use on old Spotify accounts that can login ok.
V2 - for use on new Spotify accounts - that can't login with v1 mod.

@ mrdude, I know that pain is the arse feeling and this has happened a few times where i have had to completely take a break from it. Modding is difficult and can be challenging at times trying to keep everybody happy. Sometimes taking half a day modding for people to have issues can be frustrating for everyone and this happens often with me where i can get it wrong or miss a line of code somewhere, I'm still learning lol. Last week i completely messed up on two mods because Im not as good as some of you guys but i try and this is when i get that pain is the arse feeling LMAO. Keep up the great work belive me i mean this i know how time-consuming and hard it can be

I've been using his mod for so many years and i always wanted to thank the person behind this but i didn't know where to get in contact with him until few months back when i found this platform. So always appreciate the work of modders.

I`ve just finished modding this:




Changed all the ad patches (to fix login issues) and enabled storyline mode - and everything is working great!!! However as you seem to be complaining, I`ll keep this private for now - and you can pay for premium or use the play store version.

I`ll PM some people that I think will enjoy it though - when I get around to it...

Are the new mod v1 for old accounts and v2 going to be released as the Non-Lite version? Damn this is going to be tough to differentiate, when exactly is old? Or new? Eh I guess if one doesn't work the other one will :p

If exactly the same happens to me, I have been using this mod for several years, and I never thought to find the person who developed it, until I came to this forum.

I would not tire of thanking and trying to "help" by providing the most detailed information possible when testing the versions and I think it is the best thing that people could do to collaborate, rather than just complain.

I think it got patched. The good old "You discovered a Premium feature!" prompts pops up when trying to play a song.

I greatly appreciate your continuous effort to mod this and your generosity to share it with us!

False alarm, sorry. It`s just that in Japan there`s a 15h monthly limit for free users and it blocks listening to any music at all on the modded app once you reach that limit. Thanks again Balatan and mrdude!

It isn't (wasn't) available on tablets, either is (was) canvas - so they are unlocked to play on both device types.

You don't get them on every song - only various songs have this data sent with the track. In the current uk charts there's various artists such as Dua lipa, that have canvas, behind the lyrics + story line data along with the song.

In older mods - I didn't bother to unlock this, but as I was messing about testing different patches, I decided to just unlock for all devices.
