This worked, I solved the issue in 30s. Side note - I couldn't create the account from the app so i just made it from a browser that connected to a vpn.

Since this is your first post here ... I believe you downloaded a wrong apk from the download mirrors.
These hoster tends to contain malicous advertisments and even apps that will have the name of the download, but containing a different app.

The apk file doesn't have any type of virus, you can check it by scanning at virustotal.com Unfortunately you have to know how to download well from those hosts sites, since they have a lot of ads and pop-ups, it is achieved with practice and sometimes it is better download it from on PC first.
