No, he meant that Spotify tagged as final a version that still has some bugs in its same official version. But it is something that usually happens, they will keep updating it.

Previously (before version 8.57)...I could hide a song in a playlist. Now it seems that functionality is not available. I think it was available in 8.51....
Im talking about the functionality where we could stop one specific song from playing in the playlist by clicking it's 3dots to the right of it and clicking hide this song. It seems this is not available.
Is this because of Spotify themselves or just my problem? Can anyone confirm?

I went ahead and bought the premium subscription. You can clearly notice the difference in audio clarity/quality at 'very high' quality. Apart from this and the ability to download songs, this mod works exactly like the premium version.

Did you uninstall any previous versions before instaling? Also, try creating a new account

Both this version (8.5.58.954) and v8.5.57.1164 works perfectly, try to make an installation as clean as possible, closing the session, delete app cache and data, uninstalling the previous version. This mod already lets you login for both old and new accounts, I could verify it by login in to the account I always use (it is about 4 years old or older) and in accounts created 1 month or a little more.
So far I'ven't had any problems on my devices, there is no shuffle mode, no ads, the app doesn't crash or close when playing songs. And the vast majority of people who had these problems in previous versions (I also had them) have been solved. So if they don't work for you, it is due to a compatibility problem of the app with your device.
Another tip I can give you is not to use the app with VPN or ad-blockers like Adguard, because they can bring problems.
