I can confirm that is true - only shuffle play available.

Everything works on my phone (mi9t pro, android 10, miui global 11.0.4) including random and non-random reproduction.
I was previously using 8.5.57 mod lite version cause 8.5.59 was giving me some issues with artists pages.
The only thing missing is the shortcut buttons to playlist/podcast that were on the home page before.

Children, children... Just force close app and delete cache if you have only shuffle. Maybe you have to do it 3-4 times but it will work and never have to do it again until you reinstall or update app. I sometimes change custom ROMs on my phone so I have to do this every time and it always worked.

I also confirm only shuffle in album listening bug too.
It showed after 1-2 hours and deleting cache doesn't fix it.
I advise you use 8.5.57 or another old version, as there aren't any updates in the app, and as mrdude said this version isn't stble at all.

Don't do anything - canvas & storylines will just start working on it's own after a while - it's a server side thing.

Sometimes it takes a couple of hours to get the setting from the server - as Spotify service is always running on the background on your device, it will get that setting for canvas without any input from you. All that's required is patience.

As for questions other asked: (which have been answered hundreds of times on other threads)
Always do a clean install, then if you only have shuffle mode - force close the app a couple of times - then it should work as normal.

Yep same here, thanks for reporting - I must have forgoten to patch that ... If I get some time during the week, I'll have a look at it.

EDIT: It appears some albums work, and some are shuffle only - clicking on various albums and some work (not in shuffle) & click another and it's in shuffle only - weird???? possibly it could be a server error not sending the album track listings on various albums.
