That patch that allowed changing options in sound was also the same patch that allowed spotify connect to work properly and unlocked some other stuff, that's why it was left. At one point it did work fine for audio - then Spotify changed stuff on their server (which they often do).

Still it's not been patched in this release - and either have some other things...I'm sure these will all be reported at some point - but point this out to the person that has released this apk as they can take care of fixing these issue for you.

Yes it's legit - they reversed the patches we used in previous versions and used the same patches in this version.

They also added libdialog.so to the libs folder (which is not present in the original apk), & added their own popup.

It will be interesting to see it they can come up with new patches when the code changes (when they don't have anything to copy from).

Anyway - I suppose it now saves me and Balatan a job now, as we can always rely on someone else to patch this (and give us zero credit for using our patches) .

You should use whatever version works for you. We don't want to release just now as the app is buggy and causes more problems than it solves for most people. If I was to say what version to use - I'd probably say use v8.5.59.1137 or v8.5.58.954 as these work fine and have storylines/canvas working and these are also patched to work on tablets.

We will release a decent version when spotty fix their bugs - it's not an issue to mod, this is easy for us to do but it's not worth the grief for us to release just now.

Well, Spotify is now available in Russia (from a few days ago), some well-reputed devs/modders with channels and groups on Telegram are targeting this app, when they previously completely ignored it. I guess some of them will take this challenge seriously and they just started with "reverse engineering" on your mods. Although the first releases are something like copies, this is very recent and you have to consider that they can develop their own tricks, which could perhaps be useful for you. It is very easy to contact these people on Telegram. It will be a matter of time to know the reception that Spotify will have from Russian users, they have a great Yandex Music mod and a lot of development in music apps.

I don't mind people making mods better - the more people look at it, the better it is for everybody in the long run. I'm not complaining as I couldn't care less either way. As long as the end user gets a good working bug free mod is all I care about..still if they are going to use our patches, it's just common courtesy to say thanks and give us some credit.

In a way, it's a very good thing that there is someone else taking care of modding the app, as long as the result is as functional as possible and doesn't have as many errors. If the one who does it's a serious dev, I imagine that he will be able to adapt to changes impose for Spotify, as MrDude mentions, and find new ways to patch the app, if not, we will realize that either he will not launch more versions or they will be a total or partial copy of those posted here by MrDude and Balatan in the future, as simple as that. In the 4pda post some versions of it are published here and the credit to Balatan is given, but it isn't the case of this version, which is posted by a certain Vadder or something like that.

Im sure this has been answered before, but IDK the answer. Why do these mods say my phone is a "Galaxy Tab S6 5G". And not my actual phone model (Pixel)? That just something the mod needs to do in order to work?

That's been done on purpose to spoof the device as a tablet. On another note I've finished modding this new version, I've fixed canvas and storyline mode - I'll protect the mod and give it to Balatan today so that he can do his stuff to it and then you can get a proper release with those extra features working. (no doubt these patches will be copied as well and re-released by some expert hackers )

In mrdude and Balatan we trust, can't wait for this version!

I'm still in the 8.4.75.670 Lite Mod xD i hope in the new mods com with region bypass and ban protection or something to alow use the app in locked country's whitout a vpn or a way to trick and have a premium account
