Depends on how you define "works". Only with Oled screens you get the proper effect and battery savings from the "Amoled skin", everywhere else you get normal black but lit up pixels as background which wont have any rational advancement outside of may be more chilling for your eyes.

Haven't tried this but I have been using an older different app for over a year with no issues.
