reverting back to twitter revanced v9.65.7-release.0. no such issue there.

Can somebody explain to me how this mod differs from the original. I tested it & it was all the same

Revanced not working at the moment. Twifucker works but is laggy.

EDIT:
I've just tried and the simplest way is using the jar:

Download twitter from apkmirror:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/twitter-inc/

Download TwiFucker apk:
https://github.com/Dr-TSNG/TwiFucker/releases/tag/1.8

Download LSPatch jar:
https://github.com/LSPosed/LSPatch

Then, having Java installed on your pc/mac/linux (it's java, runs anywhere), run:
java -jar lspatch.jar twitter.apk -m twifucker.apk

That's it. Now install the modified Twitter.
Then, after log in, go to "Settings and privacy" > "Additional resources" > Tap in version (at the top of the screen).
This will activate the TwiFucker menu.

If you can't modify yourself (and it's a very simple 5 seconds process), you can get the modified apk from their telegram:
