It appears Twitter must have changed their API as this and previous version (I tried 2 back) are getting API errors wherever I click on a link in a tweet. Installed official Twitter app and have no API issues.

Do you have "Disable URL Redirect" turned on?
I do and links seem to be loading fine on my Samsung phone - they open in Samsung Browser.
