She begins to excel at her job and her life is going well until an old associate of hers, sends her a cryptic email demanding money. At first, Ember doesn’t know what to do – but it becomes clearer as time goes on that the man, Michael, has information on her that can ruin her life and he’s not afraid to release it. Michael is dangerous and Ember’s only chance is to keep giving him whatever he wants.
Ember tries to balance her professional life, her growing relationship with Rylan, and her hidden past as everything comes crashing to a head.
Meanwhile, as Ember finds herself drawn more and more to Rylan, she begins to find out that there’s more to the man than she initially thought.
