Julia has been avoiding Alistair Renault, one of the member of the other band she is touring with, for over a week. Ever since he found out about her attraction to him, the possibility of rejection and the awkwardness she feels are too much; but she finds that she can’t stay away, and in an impulsive moment decides to watch the attractive guitarist while the band plays one night. She hopes that she can slip away before the band leaves the stage without being seen.
Alistair has been acting strangely, particularly since a rough-and-tumble night on the road that ended with a play-fight between the two. He is impossible to predict or read, and when he manages to waylay Julia, she gets increasingly confused by the signals he’s giving off — until he gives her signals so strong even she can see what he’s after.
