For 2 days I have been struggling with not being able to download any files on the site that were zip files. Just nothing. I thought it was weird. Tried a single epub file and got a download with a orange cone and a "keep" button and "learn more". I clicked on the keep button and the orange cone turned into the icon I normally see for epub files. Well thats good but still not able to download any series of books in a zip file. I am using Google Chrome browser so I thought it had to do with maybe a recent windows update - not sure but I googled about not being able to download zip files with Chrome and see that "Chrome will block all mixed content downloads" - So frustrating. I turned off "safe browsing" but I still could not download any ebook files that were a zip file. I looked through the posts here to see if I was not alone but couldn't find any posts so I decided to try the Firefox browser instead and that seems to be working as it allows me the option to "save" file. Maybe I'm not tweaking my settings in Chrome right. I do like Google Chrome but will use Firefox if that is my only option. I would love to get a premium membership as long as I know my browser will allow the downloads. Any Advice??
Looks like Chrome is blocking DLs if the link is not https.
I have no problems downloading zip or other files from other sites. But, grabbed a file from UserUpload and had to click on "Keep" (as UU download links are http and not https).
I've already emailed UU Admin, hoping he'll fix the problem soon.
