When I log in and use the search facility it immediately logs me out and says you need to be logged in to use the search facility

Are you using mobilism.me or mobilism.org? Try using mobilism.org (or log in on both mobilism.me and mobilism.org).

I was using.me still which is not working for me but your suggestion to use the .org works fine
