well i worked it out how i did this was
unzip file then use webos quick install v3.01 (2.96 didnt work for me ) by clicking on the green + icon select the unzipped ipk file then click on the install icon down the bottom.
wait for it to finsh and reset the phone then it done and ready to play.

brothers in arms still does not work for me but i think this due to the fact that i cant uninstall the old version/copy of the phone. i removed the files from the usb section and used the orange button plus touching the icon, it then goes away but when i restart the phone the icon pops back up.

anyway to get rid(delete) of the icon for good without dr'ing the pre? (as i dont want to delete my other games history) or get brothers in arms working?

Hi is Gangstar (installed by IPK) not working for anyone else, and crashes when choosing new game? this seems to happen with all ipk's i install, and the games only work with the other method.

well im usong webos quick install 2.96 and it worked fine, although once I did have to download the file a second time, even though the winZip extracted properly...so that might be worth a go

i fixed my problem with brothers in arms not working for me

it turns out that palm profile keeped reloading it back on my pre(a copy of the game that didnt work) so i turned back up off for a long time(over night) delete the game from the pre then with out resetng the pre reinstall the game again then reset the pre. now the game work and then turn on backup (&back up a new profile) all done ,

and Gangstar works great and only works via quick install has i metion above not the old way though teminal app(i tried but didnt show up on the pre

using wedos quick install is so mush easyer to install games (ipk files)
