I'd just like to know how to delete previous threads. I've posted one and I have no idea how to delete it.

It depends on which section you have started the thread/posted in as some do not allow removal of posts (Request area's mostly). In either case, if anyone has posted after you then you will be unable to delete your post/thread. If no one has posted then look for the little X at the bottom right of the post:
