The Qingjing Veterans Farm is situated at the Renai Township of Nantou County in Taiwan and has been open to the public since February 20th, 1961. Situated at an altitude of 1,750 meters above the sea, the farm enjoys generally mild weather all year round. The Farm produces various kinds of fruits including: peaches, pears, plums,and kiwi fruit. Facilities in the Farm include: the Tourist Center, the Green Green Grasslands, the Small Swiss Garden, the Recreation Center for visitors, the Shoushan Park, the Guest House and a Stock Nurturing Center. The working partners of the Farm are putting in all efforts to incorporate the Farm with nearby tourism projects, making it an attraction, to provide a cozy and enjoyable nature trip for all visitors.
Visitors to this tourist spot can enjoy an authentic homestay experience in any of the various Western style houses, where the locals will welcome you with open arms. Taiwanese locals are known to be one of the most affable people in Asia, and any visit to Taiwan will surely leave you that impression.
One of the main sights at this attraction is of course the farm itself. Flocks of sheep are allowed to run wild (but are usually found lazily grazing) in the green pastures of the farm, and visitors are allowed to purchase feed for the sheep. Feeding the sheep is a one-of-a-kind experience, where an army of sheep barrels toward the bag of feed in your hand. Various sheep-themed souvenirs and local goods are also sold at stalls outside the farm.
