Since I was a kid, whenever I went to the Plaça Major (Great Square? 
), I saw this old man painting.
A few years ago he stopped appearing and, some time after, a bronze avatar appeared in his place.
His suitcase was a thing out of Transformers. It looked like a normal suitcase until he started pulling here, bending there and boom! he had an easel where to put the canvas and mix the colours.

What is it?
