What is it?- A contest where players try to make a chain out of posting your user name in alphabetical order.
- There is a Start letter to each chain, but no Last letter.
- The Chain can cycle through the alphabet
How to play- The game starts when the host picks a starting letter at random. Any one person whose user name starts with that letter posts first. Other users can then post, one after the other by copying and pasting the chain from the previous post and adding your name to the chain.
Rules- each player must post in alphabetical order by user name
- each player (including the first player) has to post within 1 hour of the previous post, including the starting post
- each player may only post once. Any user posting more than once will break the chain and all of their posts will be disqualified; eliminating them from any reward
- NO DELETING, if you delete your post you will be out for the next 3 rounds
- EDITING a post is permitted. Any edits must be completed before the round ends
- each post must contain the complete chain of user names from the previous posts
- A player who breaks the chain by posting out of order is "out" for the next round
- There does not have to be a poster for each letter, but you can't skip over (miss out) more than 2 letters
- To prevent the chain from getting stuck at the end of the alphabet, where there are fewer users, [U-V-W] and [X-Y-Z] can be treated as a single letter when counting skipped letters
- User names that begin with a number are considered as being part of "A"'s and come before A in the alphabet (in numerical order from 0 to 9)
- Symbols and special characters, included spaces are ignored from a user name. Alphabetical order is determined from the letters or numbers only
- ”5 Minute Rule” – Users have 5 minutes to post if they have been “skipped” by the previous poster. Any poster who posts claiming the '5 Minute rule' must add the words '5 Minute Rule' along with a complete chain of names with their name correctly inserted into the chain
- The round ends when – either the chain is broken by a player posting out of order or the round has timed out
- A list of players out for a round will be included in the round start post
- If a player who is "out" posts in the chain that post is ignored and they are "out" for another round. Other players be careful: that means you can't count their post when skipping letters
- Have an eye….. Random backward rounds can happen at any time
STARTING LETTER: WRemember, you can skip up to two first letters. The first poster this round can be anyone whose user name starts with W, X-Y-Z or A. But the more letters you skip the fewer users there will be in your chain and the smaller your prize!
