For Mondays horse racing, we were at Turf Paradise, a thoroughbred and quarter horse racetrack in the Deer Valley section of Phoenix, Arizona. The 8th race was the one we were watching today and it was a fast track with a distance of five furlongs on the dirt.

The results were definitely NOT what we expected
All three ponies had pretty low odds to win, especially Awesome and Mr. Wiggle, and so featured in very few of the picks. Just two people took a shot in the dark with their entries and one of them ended up hitting the jackpot
while the other got two ponies right! Well done ONLY ONE person had their top horse finish in the top 3 and will take home the pool

Wednesday is kind of a blah night for sports. There is some good stuff later in the week, but nothing really good for Wednesday. So... BRING ON THE PONIES AGAIN
But let's shake thing up a bit. For this Wednesday let's go back to our roots...
The term Daily Double originated at the horse tracks. Even though I use it for about half the contests around here, the concept is still the same as the original. For the ponies, a Daily Double means you have to pick the winners in two consecutive races. The races that feature daily doubles are decided on by the track and are usually the first two or last two races of the day.
So... let's try A TRUE DAILY DOUBLE for a change!
Now some people think that TRIFECTA is easy... you ain't seen nothing yet

THE TWO RACES
For this TRUE DAILY DOUBLE, we go down to Delta Downs in beautiful and WARM Vinton, Louisiana
And here is your racing form for the 8th and 9th races on Wednesday
As you can see in the first race, two horses are very high favorites to win, but you have a few middle of the road horses that could make it interesting.
In the second race, it's a "tad" easier because there are only 6 horses running. However, while there are two huge favorites, only one of the horses is truly a long shot
So good luck with these two races
