HAPPY ANNIVERSARY SPORTS CENTER In honor of our first NHL contest a year ago, we went back to hockey tonight with a similarly larger “true anniversary” pool at stake. For this NHL edition, the Carolina Hurricanes visited New York to play the Rangers. To win, we had to predict the winner of the game. The favorites are in bold and red.

Petr Mrazek made 27 saves and the Carolina Hurricanes spoiled a celebration at Madison Square Garden that honoured the last Rangers team to win the Stanley Cup, blanking New York 3-0 Friday night. Warren Foegele scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period as the Hurricanes ended a 16-game losing streak at the Garden. He took a pass from Saku Maenalanen in the slot and wristed a shot past Henrik Lundqvist at 6:43. Rookie Andrei Svechnikov and Brock McGinn added empty-net goals as Carolina won its third in a row.
Carolina, which is 13-4-1 in its past 18 games, climbed within a point of the Pittsburgh Penguins for the final playoff position in the Eastern Conference.

I plan on watching some Hockey this Sunday. However, there aren't many good match ups. So... It looks like a good time for UNDERDOGS
For this Sunday edition of UNDERDOGS, we will provide you with three games. Unlike Slaughter Rule where we are asking you to pick which one will lose by the most points, here we are simply asking "How many of these three will win?"
Your job will be simple... you pick either 0,1,2 or 3

So if only one of the underdogs win, and you pick one, you win... see, it's that simple

GAME ONE
Colorado Avalanche 40% at Boston Bruins 60%
This is probably the closest of the three games, but the Avalanche find themselves as big underdogs on the road. Colorado is in 6th place with a 22-22-9 record, and face the 4th place Bruins, who have a 29-17-8 record.

GAME TWO
Minnesota Wild 37% at New York Islanders 63%
The Minnesota Wild are having a "decent" year. They are in 4th place with a 26-23-5 record. However, they have to go into New York to play the 1st place Islanders, who have 31-16-6 record. Another very tough game for the road team.

GAME THREE
Tampa Bay Lightning 70% at Florida Panthers 30%
While the Panthers get to enjoy some home cooking, this will be a very tough game for them. They are in 6th place with a 22-22-8 record, and have to host the red hot 1st place Lightning. Tampa Bay has a great 39-11-4 record. There is a reason why this is the game with the biggest spread in odds.
