WORLD CUP BIATHLON

WOMEN’S 7Km SPRINT


The 2018–19 Biathlon World Cup (BWC) is a multi-race series over a season of biathlon, organized by the International Biathlon Union. After getting knocked off the sports schedule last week due to the terrible conditions in Canada, the IBU came to the USA this week. The Women’s 7Km Sprint was held today in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah at Soldier Hollow. All we had to do was predict the winner. Our choices — Anastasiya Kuzima, Marte Olsbu Roeiseland, Tiril Eckhoff, or THE FIELD.

Norway’s Marte Olsbu Roiseland took World Cup gold on Day 1 of the 2019 BMW Biathlon World Cup stop at the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center. Roiseland won the women’s sprint competition Thursday, her second sprint victory of the World Cup season. She finished the competition in 19:47.6. The Norway biathlete has now been in the top four in the last five World Cup women’s sprint competitions.
