For our Wednesday NHL edition, the New York Islanders visited Calgary to battle the Flames. All we had to do was predict the winner in this close matchup.

The Flames were in fine form tonight as they took a quick 2-0 lead. Matthew Tkachuk joined Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan on the top line when the Calgary Flames played the New York Islanders at Scotiabank Saddledome on Wednesday. The Islanders had a mini comeback after they tied the game 2-2 early in the third period, but the Flames consolidated their lead with 2 quick goal late in the perios to win 4-2.

It was a hard job picking the bonus winners
I've been reviewing them all day. Everybody really deserves a reward because every response met the criteria for Pick'em
We were pleased with the results. But unfortunately, WRZ$ don't grow on trees (or do they), so we had to narrow it down. Now normally, we would select the 7 best. However, this was a record setting Pick'em
Most people ever who included a comment! Only three people didn't. So since we had so many good comments to choose from I'll do 8 this time. And if people continue to include comments, that figure may go up in the future

I've done enough hockey and basketball, so... BRING ON THE PONIES AGAIN
But let's shake thing up a bit. For this Friday let's go back to our roots...
The term Daily Double originated at the horse tracks. Even though I use it for about half the contests around here, the concept is still the same as the original. For the ponies, a Daily Double means you have to pick the winners in two consecutive races. The races that feature daily doubles are decided on by the track and are usually the first two or last two races of the day.
So... let's try A TRUE DAILY DOUBLE for a change!
Now some people think that TRIFECTA is easy... you ain't seen nothing yet
